
Infectious Disease Investigation
The Oregon Health Authority has partnered with HIV Alliance to deliver critical infectious disease prevention and care services to residents of Curry County who are at risk for or have been diagnosed with the following conditions:
• Tuberculosis (TB)
• HIV
• Syphilis
• Gonorrhea
• Chlamydia

Through this partnership, HIV Alliance provides a range of essential services to address these infectious diseases. These services are designed to ensure comprehensive care, improve health outcomes, and reduce the spread of infections within the community. The services provided include:
- Case Investigation: HIV Alliance conducts thorough investigations in accordance with Oregon Disease Investigative Guidelines to identify and respond to cases effectively.
- Contact Investigation and Partner Services: To prevent further transmission, the organization identifies and reaches out to individuals who may have been exposed, offering testing and care.
- Case Management: Clients receive personalized support to navigate their healthcare needs, including assistance with appointments, medication adherence, and accessing treatment.
- Connection to Care and Supportive Services: HIV Alliance ensures clients are connected to medical care and supportive resources such as housing, transportation, and mental health services.
- Directly Observed Therapy (DOT): For individuals diagnosed with tuberculosis, HIV Alliance provides DOT to ensure medication is taken correctly and consistently, which is critical for effective treatment.
- Data Collection and Reporting: The team collects data and enters it into Orpheus, Oregon’s integrated electronic disease surveillance system, to track and manage communicable disease reports.
