Mulan Rouge (she/her/he/him) has been a resident drag queen of the Mid-Willamette Valley since 2016.
She started her drag career in 2005 as a member of The Sisters of Perpetual
Indulgence, The Abbey of St. Joan in Seattle where she spent many years helping to
raise money and awareness for HIV prevention. In 2013 she joined the International
Court System, one of the longest running LGBTQIA+ organizations in North America,
holding titles such as Miss Gay Washington, Empress of the Imperial Sovereign Court of
Tacoma, Diamond Empire of the Cascades, Miss Gay Salem 42, Imperial Crown
Princess 44, and Star Empress 45 of the Imperial Sovereign Court of the Willamette
Empire. Currently, she serves on the International Court Council as Heir Apparent to
Queen Mother of the Americas I, Nicole the Great.
Her drag career has been spent working with organizations focused on HIV/AIDS
awareness, prevention, and care, such as Lifelong AIDS Alliance (Seattle, WA), Pierce
County AIDS Foundation (Tacoma, WA), AHAT Homecare (Tacoma, WA), and now HIV
Alliance.
When not out on the town attending drag functions, she works as a licensed massage
therapist and licensed esthetician.
