We provide compassionate care for people living with HIV. Our services include medical case management, behavioral health support, dental services, and hepatitis C treatment. We work closely with clients to address barriers, promote treatment, and tailor support to meet individual needs. Our goal is to improve health outcomes and ensure everyone has access to the resources necessary for their well-being.
Prevent
Our prevention efforts focus on preventing the spread of HIV and hepatitis C through accessible, low-barrier services, resources, and education grounded in the principles of harm reduction. We offer testing, syringe exchange, and access to PrEP. By offering these comprehensive services, we aim to reduce new infections and promote healthier outcomes for our clients and the communities we serve.
Educate
We strive to empower our community through education. Our educational programs cover a variety of topics, including HIV and hepatitis C (HCV) 101, and school-based presentations to raise awareness and reduce stigma. Our goal is to equip people with accurate information, promote safer practices, and create an inclusive environment where everyone can learn and thrive.
Engage
We engage with our community through various volunteer opportunities, events, and advocacy efforts. Our goal is to build a network of support that empowers individuals to make a positive impact. Whether through volunteering, participating in events, or donating, we invite everyone to join us in supporting those affected by HIV and reducing stigma.

THE PROBLEM
Limited Access to Resources and Services
Limited access to resources and services is one of the biggest barriers to addressing HIV, hepatitis C, and the opioid crisis in Oregon—especially in rural and underserved communities. Stigma, geographic isolation, and systemic inequities prevent people from getting the care they need, leading to worse health outcomes and higher rates of infection and overdose. HIV Alliance is working to bridge these gaps with mobile medicine, harm reduction services, peer support, and low-barrier treatment options, ensuring that life-saving resources reach the people who need them most. By expanding access and challenging stigma, we can create a healthier, more equitable Oregon for all.
Disparities and the Urgent Need for Comprehensive Prevention Strategies to Lower HIV Rates in Oregon
HIV rates in Oregon remain alarmingly high, disproportionately impacting BIPOC communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people who inject drugs. Systemic barriers and stigma make accessing prevention and care difficult—but HIV Alliance is fighting back with harm reduction, testing, and life-saving support. Learn how these targeted solutions are changing lives and helping to curb the HIV epidemic in Oregon.
HIV Disparities in Rural Oregon
Rural Oregon faces severe healthcare disparities, with delayed HIV diagnoses, lower survival rates, and a lack of harm reduction services. Geographic isolation and stigma make accessing care even harder, leaving many without essential support. Learn how HIV Alliance provides low barrier, accessible services in rural counties.
Addressing Oregon’s Hepatitis C Crisis
Oregon has some of the highest hepatitis C (HCV) rates in the nation, driven largely by injection drug use and barriers to treatment. Prevention, testing, and low-barrier treatment are critical to stopping the spread of HCV. Learn how HIV Alliance is tackling this with harm reduction strategies and accessible care.
Insights and Methods to Help the Oregon Opioid Crisis
Oregon’s opioid crisis has reached record levels, with fentanyl driving a surge in overdoses and traditional harm reduction efforts struggling to keep pace. HIV Alliance is responding with a comprehensive approach—syringe exchange, naloxone distribution, peer support, and opioid medication-assisted treatment—to save lives and connect people with care. Learn how these strategies are making a real impact.

“I’m back at 100%”
To think that somebody actually cares enough about even drug addicts to help them in any way that they would see as a help. I was just kind of struggling, trying to make ends meet living in a tent on the tracks. This is of the only resources that really helps. I’m back at 100%. They saved my life. This place saved my life.

“Such a wide range of services…”
There is just such a wide range of services they give here; for HIV, for unhoused people, for trans people, and mental health. You can’t really get all of that in a small, friendly clinic, and in an affirming manger anywhere else in Eugene.
