Nina Moon Nolen is a court-appointed attorney representing children and parents at their solo practice, Nina Moon Law. In 2019 they received the New Practioner Advocacy Award, which is awarded by the Oregon State Bar Juvenile Section recognizing an outstanding and enthusiastic new juvenile court lawyer. They received their Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Oregon, majoring in Family and Human Services. They then attended Willamette University College of Law. There they were awarded the Bill and Ann Shepherd Legal Scholarship, given to law students who are dedicated to donating their legal expertise to fighting bigotry and discrimination, particularly in the area of sexual orientation and gender identity.

Both in school and post-graduation, Nina works in service of their community. One of their first internships while in college was at HIV Alliance! It was there that they learned the mission of the organization and saw first hand the important impact that HIV Alliance has on our community. While living in Coos County, they were a board member for Southern Oregon Coast Pride and an adult elder for Q&A of Coos County, a youth group for 14-21 year old LGBTQIA youth. They also served as a member of United Way of Southwestern Oregon’s Board.
