Our Behavioral Health program expands on our mission to not only support individuals living with HIV\/AIDS, but to also provide culturally responsive services to the greater LGBTQIA+ communities.<\/p>\n
The program provides individual and family counseling services. We currently have openings for new clients 16 and older with Oregon Health Plan (OHP).<\/p>\n
Our Behavioral Health program builds on HIV Alliance\u2019s dedication to advocacy, care, and outreach in LGBTQIA+ communities. HIV Alliance has long worked to build a stronger, healthier LGBTQIA+ community. Our goal is not just to stop the spread of sexually-transmitted infections, but to build community wellness.<\/p>\n

Our client-centered approach focuses on our clients\u2019 individual stories, and we build relationships by recognizing that members of LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, other communities have unique experiences. As part of HIV Alliance, our core values include continuous improvement and collaboration, and we believe strongly in continuing to learn and grow as providers to best understand and respond to cultural and systemic factors that may impact the experiences of our clients\u2019 and counselors.<\/p>\n For those clients whose primary language is not English, and who may have difficulty using English to engage in our services, we offer interpreter services in the language of the client\u2019s choosing as long as the agency providing interpreting services offers the requested language. We will do whatever we can to assist clients in accessing our services in a way that respects each person\u2019s individual language and cultural needs.<\/p>\n Interpreters are provided by contract with Linguava Interpreters.
