Volunteer

Thank you for giving back to your community.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities in Washington, Lane, Marion, Coos, Josephine, Jackson, Curry, and Douglas counties. Each county has its own specific needs and opportunities.  Please fill out the volunteer application and we will reach out to you about the next orientation training. We are offering orientation trainings via Zoom on the 2nd Tuesdays at 5:30 PM, and the 4th Wednesdays at 8 PM every month. Below is a general description of the type of volunteer opportunities we offer.

If you have any questions, please reach out to the volunteer team at volunteer@allianceor.org. We look forward to being in community with you.

Volunteer Opportunities

Prevention

Assembly of safer injection, fentanyl, wound care, Naloxone and safer sex kits that are handed out to our community members. Kit building is a high demand and low barrier volunteer activity that volunteers can choose to do at home. We also have opportunities in harm reduction, which include needle exchange, testing, Naloxone distribution and Naloxone training across all counties we serve.

Development

Support our events including Big Night, World AIDS Day, and Pride. Tasks may include event planning, grant writing, marketing, and tabling events.

Miscellaneous

Greet our clients and visitors and connect them with the appropriate staff person. May include data entry for our programs, cleaning our office, building furniture, and other misc needs.

Internships

We are excited to that you are considering HIV Alliance as your internship placement. We have options in behavioral health, harm reduction, public policy, research, public health, and non-profit business practices. If you are interested in an internship with us, please complete the internship application and we will be in touch shortly. We will do our best to place you in position that aligns with your career path, but due to limitations we may not have a position that fits your needs.
