Education at HIV Alliance

HIV Alliance's Educational Services promote a healthy community for all by increasing awareness about the need for prevention and harm reduction services in Lane County, teaching compassion for those living with HIV/AIDS, educating community members about HIV transmission and risk assessment, and promoting the agency's work within the community.

There are three different presentation types that we offer:

Our volunteer-based community educators are available for presentations in alcohol and drug treatment centers, local and regional schools, community organizations, church groups, local business, medical offices, and partners working in the social services. We offer positive speaker presentations and an HIV 101 workshop that covers the basics of HIV transmission and risk assessment. Both the positive speaker presentations and the HIV 101 workshops complement, but do not take the place, of comprehensive sexuality education.

Our presentations are free although donations are encouraged and accepted.
