Support Us

Every year HIV Alliance reaches out to over 15,000 adults and youth to provide care, support, prevention and/or education to individuals who may be living with or at risk for HIV, Hepatitis C (HCV), or other sexually transmitted diseases.

We do this in order to support and empower them to live a healthier life. We depend upon our partners and supporters like you to make this work possible. Thank you!

Legacy Giving

What will my gift do?

With a Legacy Gift you can combine your desire to leave a lasting legacy in our community with your financial, tax and estate planning goals. A bequest to HIV Alliance in your estate planning documents gives you the power to continue to provide to a cause that you care deeply about and contribute to the health of our community.

Your gift will cost nothing during your lifetime but will provide future sustained support for the critical HIV and Hepatitis C programs that you care about.

What do I need to do?

Including HIV Alliance in your will or living trust is an easy process.

Here are a few basic steps for how you can make a bequest to HIV Alliance. Start by either contacting our Development Manager for more information or give your estate planning attorney the official wording — outlined in the next paragraph — and ask that he/she use this language when you create a bequest for HIV Alliance in your estate planning documents.

If you already have these documents, simply ask your attorney to revise or amend the existing document according to your directions.

Specific bequest language to use for your bequest to HIV Alliance:

“I give and bequeath to HIV Alliance, Inc., (tax identification number 93-0963546), a nonprofit corporation with principal offices presently located at 1195 City View St., Eugene, OR 97402, or its’ successor organization, the sum of $_________, or _____________% of my estate, to be used in the support of individuals living with HIV/AIDS, _____________and in the prevention of new infections in order to facilitate the accomplishment of its general nonprofit purpose.” *

*This is merely sample language and should be adapted by legal counsel to fit your individual situation and wishes.

Other “Beneficiary Designations”

You can also use this beneficiary designation with:

  • A life insurance policy
  • Employer-provided life insurance
  • A bank or brokerage account eligible for “pay on death” or “transfer on death”
  • A donor advised fund or “charitable gift fund” account

In-Kind Donations
